While the website was "paused" I had some time to add an item or two and have made a major change to shipping charges. Until now, most of the orders I shipped have been by USPS Priority Mail, flat rate in 2 sizes, "medium" and "large". It was simple, easy to calculate and fast delivery. Over time I've come to question this. The cost has gone up too much in my estimation and the speedy factor has not always been there. I've become disillusioned by all this and have done a little investigating. The result is I'm making a basic change in my shipping practices and charges.
From now on the small order charge will be the same, $7.00 for packages up to 1 lb. The big change is this. I'll no longer use the Priority Mail, flat rate in either of the next sizes. The medium size will now be reduced to $10.00 for everything over 1 lb. This is a $2.15 reduction in charges and it will apply for everything over 1 lb. There will no longer be a "large order" category. $10.00 is now the top limit.
I hope you all view this as good news. How often do you see a price reduction?
